I saw a video demo where they use the nail rocker to remove nails from trim from the back side of the wood. This looks good for use when removing and reinstalling trim.
The cat's paw is just a bonus..
First guy I worked for told me that claws aren't nail pullers. When I asked him what they're for he said, "pulling nails." The point is, if you need to pull a nail, use a nail puller. It is way faster, and he's seen guys break their hammers using them as nail pullers.
I think he might mean a cat's paw...? IDK. & I agree.
I didn't realize it has a swivel side, so definitely more functionality than using a regular hammer to pull nails.

It's Not necessary to break the wood surface to pull nails. Also, HD gave me a 13in tool, so maybe rhey ran out of the 12.5in and substituted it. They didn't say anything about it. Probably Best $5 tool around.
