Cuisinart makes a more premium metal one ($80+ with temperature precision contrl)
But it touches the plastic spout on the way out, which is SUCH stupid design choice imo
Been using for 8 years with no issues. Reviews speak for itself. There's a newer model with a digital display but I can't vouch for that. And for those worried about plastic - Yes, it will touch plastic on the way out from the metal body, if you worry about that, then you should worry about everything else that happens to your food at the restaurant, the chemicals in all of your food that you don't have control over, the bpa chemicals they put in the car that you're smelling, etc - just stay home in the bubble and hopefully you'll survive.
Is the water window not made from plastic as well? I've also seen reports that the walls are entirely plastic as well and just the base is metal. Either way, there are a lot of solid alternatives that are pure metal or glass that you can get like chefman.

There are plenty of better options that don't touch plastic at all and are closer to the price range of this kettle.
