If you get this set and also get the separate Down-firing Atmos Speakers, you could just not plug in the atmos speakers here and still have what you want, but save like $1500.00. If you buy the RP8000F II, RP504C II and RP600M II speakers separately and get the atmos speakers, you'll spend roughly $4000.00.

Another option that is even less expensive and sonically not much different would be waiting for the 1st gen 8000f/504c/600M for $1199 deal.

Only side by side comparison would you hear the minor difference imo.
Definitely not a $500 one imo.
That $500 savings would be a good starting point for a good sub which is an important piece for a HT setup imo.

I would definitely save money. Hopefully they'll have a RP8000F II soon. Thanks

I got the Gen 1 8060s a good while back, and while I never had much luck getting up-firing reflective speakers to work, I never fell out of love with the performance of these towers otherwise. Now my FPS comes from boxes in physically separate locations and I'm in love with Atmos at last, and the 8060s are voices in that heavenly choir, less their upfiring cousins.

Please don't beat me up. I had a sonos arc, sub, and 2 rear speakers for my home then my home burned down. The speaker setup costed more than this deal. If I buy this deal, how do I hook it up to my TV for movies or to Amazon Alexa for music? Do I need other hardware? Does it all need to be connected to a central hub with wires? If yes, What is that central hub and how do I get it? I don't know much about audio equipment.

These speakers require an amplifier to work, so Google up an "audio/video receiver" like a Denon or Marantz or Yamaha, and budget at minimum another $500. Also, about $25 for speaker wire. Good luck!

Something like this that goes in sale pretty often is perfectly fine:

I just got a set of 1st gen 8000s for $550 and I love them but was wondering what I was missing out on with the gen 2s
