It always worries me when there is no indication of the blade steel except that it is "stainless steel." That usually means it's really poor quality. I looked up this knife on Remington's website and it actually lists the blade as 8Cr13Mov which is a perfectly acceptable budget steel. It's a pretty nice looking knife. I may have to pick one of these up at this price.

I wouldn't buy this knife. It's basically a gas station knife and for sure wouldn't hold an edge for more than a handful of uses. If you are looking for budget knives (Under $30) look at the Ontario Rat 1 & 2, Civivi Knives, Petrified Fish, kizer, CRJB. The budget knife market has never been better - don't settle for some piece of junk because it's carrying the Remington name.

Gotta love people that worry about steel on a 15 dollar knife. My edc is a $4 Ozark trails clearance knife. I've skined countless deer with it. I can dull it to he'll and put a shaving edge back in seconds. Living on a farm where knives are used and not as jewelry.

That's a gas station knife. You're a gas station knife user! Gas station knife, gas station knife!

If I was shelling out $15 on a new knife, I think I'd get the Ganzo F759M over this.
