I also had a good experience with them recently. Getting the account activated was seamless. Porting out wasn't too bad... I had to call customer service, but they gave me the account number and PIN without any delay or hassle at all.
I have been on a US mobile trial plan and very happy with them, plan to pay for one year out. worth comparing the two.

Maybe you get lucky with Lyca, but in the 3 times I've used them, it's always been a terrible experience. Activation not working, terrible CS, everything that can go wrong seems to go wrong. Oh and they started randomly taking money out of my account despite not having a contract in place for 6-12 months.
Terms and conditions"......Upon expiration of initial 90-days of service, your payment method will be charged for additional 90-day service periods at the price of $60."
Will Lyca charge you additional $60 for another 90 days service? If so, a total of cost will be $75 for a total of 180 days, right?
How is this compared to Boost Prepaid 5GB/mo for $5/mo? I am using Google Voice with Boost Prepaid right now but have no problem just signing up for a new number. International calling is not useful for me.
The carrier automatically goes to SOS sometimes and also the data says 0GB
How to activate the 5GB
I'm able to make a test outgoing call
This is weird experience with Lyca mobile
I hope this issue gets resolved, I'm just about to port over now. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Does anyone know if the sim needs to be activated by the end of this month? Still have about half a month with current provider.
Update: I ported in using the online form today. After submitting, I wasn't sure if it went through since there was no update, only the website stating an invalid "captcha," so I submitted it a second time. I received the same message, but when I checked my phone with the previous provider, it showed "SIM no longer provisioned for calls." I then removed my Mint Mobile SIM and inserted the new Lyca Mobile SIM. I received a success port-in message and the phone required a reboot to provision the new provider. After rebooting, the phone initially had no signal, which worried me, but after powering it off and back on, it was now on Lyca Mobile.
I used the online port-in form because waiting for a rep seemed quite long. If you have all the correct info, I would recommend doing it this way instead of through a rep. Just make sure you double and triple check all the info. If anything goes wrong, you'd most likely need to speak with a rep to get things right again. The form is very picky; it doesn't allow you to cut and paste your IMEI. Also, you need to pick (N, S, NE, SE, etc) as part of your address, which doesn't really apply to the U.S. If you don't pick one, it doesn't allow you to submit the form.
The port-in process was completed within a few minutes, probably because Mint Mobile and Lyca Mobile both use T-Mobile. I would expect longer transfer times from other networks and/or landline transfers.
Speedtests in the Northeast U.S. on an LTE signal was 33/16 Mbps.
Anyhow, I just wanted to share my experience. I hope everyone who chose to try Lyca Mobile out has a smooth transition. Have a great weekend!

I am able to make and receive calls now. Internet is working but I'm getting only 1-2Mbps speed
I'm using iPhone 15 will try to see if there are any settings I need to tweak for the 5G speeds of LycaMobile

I tried this and when I click on their site link it asks me to pay $45 not $15 for the first 3mo. I talk to a representative and she said there is no such promotion!!

I really liked US Mobile. Great service and customer service. I would've kept them but just hopping around carriers for my son right now. I have a year with boost mobile. But after that year I wouldn't mind switching to us mobile at all.

Do you need an existing number to port in for the trial plan at US mobile?
for what it's worth I also just prepaid for 1 year of service as well.
I will try the esim option soon as well. I am getting almost 120 Mbps with 5g, yet to test the post high speed data consumption if its 256 kbps
