Decent price. Costco is selling the same system without the graphics card for $700 (they claim it's a $300 discount [costco.com]).

Literally on the page is the ability to upgrade the PSU for $50 - to a very good PSU. And add liquid cooling (that they use on the K series) for another $50.

Dells have issues, but the PSU and cooling problems you guys are mentioning are literal options you can change direct from Dell before you order - I don't even think you clicked the link.

So if I'm not upgrading anything, is the 450w power supply just fine?

I don't game but still want the graphics card and I'll be upgrading the memory to 32 gigs and adding a 2tb data drive on top of 512 ssd.

Looking at the Costco setup so I want to make sure 450 is sufficient if it is used as is with no upgrades.

Thanks

Is this considered a good deal without the Amex offer?

both of the links on this post set off my malware alerts in Brave browser.
cause all links on slickdeals get redirected to some affiliate crap beforehand..it's done automatically. So anyone that puts any link the site then converts it into that affiliate crap which gets blocked.
use another browser and get the final dell link, then use that dell link in brave

Looks solid someone tell me why I shouldn't get it. Mainly will be for a golf simulator.

The GPU power limit is roughly 160w and dell will most likely have the CPU power limited to under 100w (most likely 65w). So you have plenty of extra wattage to play with as long as you aren't upgrading the CPU nor GPU.

Worth upgrading if I currently have a 3060? And worth spending a bit extra for 3070?

While it's true that 32GB of RAM doesn't cost enough to justify it not being the standard these days (it's about a $20 difference for OEMs), the cost of the 512GB NVME does reflect the current price of mid to upper range drives right now.

I priced out a system with similar components and was already over $1000 even before adding a drive.

You can always add a 1TB drive and keep the 512 as a secondary.

It doesn't take much effort to clone drives these days, especially with how fast they are.
16GB seems to be the ok throw away base install since you shouldn't use 4 sticks of ddr5 unless forced to as it can drop in speed. Since its basically the last upgrade one may as well just drop in 64 with 2 sticks and be done with it.

Which makes this a good value if you do want the RTX 4060 Ti and this config works for you overall. And a great value if you have the AmEx offer on your card.

I do have the AmEx offer and would jump on it immediately if it had 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. 512GB SSD is just too skimpy on a PC aimed at a power user.
$990 isn't power user, and 32GB would be the trap i mentioned, a power user would just buy 2 sticks for 64GB and be done with it, there is no benefit to saving for 4 slots if it even has it.

Use crucial memory part picker for oems.

memory prices aren't budging so no point waiting, they've actually gone up in the last year.

Inflation is real

Is this price including the $120 statement credit back? The price is showing $1050 in the cart for me, after the coupon code. Am I doing something wrong or did this change?

Still showing $1099 before coupon for me as of now...did you make any changes/upgrades? What is the price before the coupon for you?

Thanks for the reply. I was contemplating going the Dell route and upgrading that for the heck of it since it was only 50 bucks. But Costco has the SAME build as this, but with 32gb memory and an added 2tb sata just for whatever junk I have for $1,200 but only has the 450w PS, so I just wanted to make sure if I wasn't upgrading I would be fine as that PC will be something fine for me since I don't game at all. Thanks again for the reply.

I have no idea what your specific computer can and cant accept
All i know is that dell requires specific graphic cards to work properly that made for dell xps desktops

The ram, you can use any ram brand same with ssd
I have a Dell 3670 Inspiron that came with a gt-1030 gpu and now has an Asus 4070 Super. Just needs a better psu and a $9 24 pin to 8 pin adapter to make it work. Whole process took me 10 minutes.

I just need it to run exactly what it comes with. I will not be upgrading anything at all.
