Decent price. Costco is selling the same system without the graphics card for $700 (they claim it's a $300 discount [costco.com]).

Literally on the page is the ability to upgrade the PSU for $50 - to a very good PSU. And add liquid cooling (that they use on the K series) for another $50.

Dells have issues, but the PSU and cooling problems you guys are mentioning are literal options you can change direct from Dell before you order - I don't even think you clicked the link.

Going forward in your life, you should understand and learn to know that you aren't as smart as you think you are and this is making you overconfident.

Is the graphics card worth the paying the extra money?

1. Size of the case
2. Power requirements

Take note that not only does the 8960 not include an optical drive, but the case doesn't even have a slot in the front where one could be added. To me that's shortcoming for a supposedly high end gaming and media desktop. If I wanted to have to connect external peripherals, I'd buy a laptop.

Anyone know if the processor on this one is better than a AMD Ryzen 7 5700?

Thinking I may pull the trigger.

I will likely upgrade to the 4070, and likely upgrade to 32 gb ram in the near future. I don't see me upgrading this again until I buy a new rig 4+ years down the road.

That said, is a PSU upgrade a must in that context? Is the 750W sufficient, or would the 4070 require 1000W (not trying to future proof beyond the 4070 / 32 gb ram upgrads)? Would really appreciate any input on this!

Just an FYI -- I have been watching this deal for a few days when my Capital One Shopping app sent me a 15% off on Dell XPS desktops offer.

A bit invasive, but not going to argue with money in my pocket. Anyone who uses Capital One Shopping may want to check their email as well.

Thanks. Can you explain how Capital One Shopping app works? Is it the browser add on? Do I just sign up and then they start to send offers?

Dell Mobo's WORK. I've had XPS computers for 15 plus years...never had an issue with any of them. Never any overheating...never any problems.
Go back to overclocking and setting your room on fire.
