4 lbs actually isn't that bad for a laptop with these specs. Gaming laptops with similar specs usually push 5 lbs or more. But if you want a travel laptop that's relatively light, you might have to settle for one that doesn't have a dGPU.

Oos near me in CA. Seems like the best bang for buck laptop by quite a margin. Hopefully they restock but I'm assuming the price is so low in order to blow out remaining inventory.

You're very vague...they come with WHICH Ryzens in the $700-800 range? A Ryzen that outperforms an i9-13980HX? For <$800 with a GPU as good as a 4060? Where?

Dell has a G15 with a 7840HS (for $900), but seems the i9 kills it in both single and multi-core performance:

Yeah the i9 13980HX was literally Intel's top of the line laptop CPU of the 13th gen. If you can grab this laptop at this price, its a steal.

The gap between 4060m and 4070m is tiny compared to the gaps between 4050m and 4060m and between 4070m and 4080m. 3070ti m outperforms it. Again, we aren't talking desktops. When it comes to laptops, past a certain point (which both the 7840HS and the 13980HX are), better != faster. Better = more performance per watt. The i9 gets demolished in that regard.

Purchased this yesterday. I installed 64gb (32gbx2) of 5200mhz ram and it only sees it as 4800mhz. Anyone have any idea why it won't show the full speed?

Man, both 3070ti m and 4060m get like 10300-10900 TimeSpy grafics score. But the 4060m outperforms in terms of power consumption and dlss. 4070m gets like 12700-13200, so it outperforms 3070ti m both in terms of power consumption and grafics performance (about 15-20%). The laptop from the current thread is great in terms of price/performance ratio. The only downstep is small battery life and Asus quality control. For 700-800$ you will get only most cheap 4060m laptops - bad screen, bad plastic, bad cooling system etc.
