Looked like a good deal until I read the product description:

"Write Speed 15 MB per second"

One more product to avoid...

I have the 128gb version and it slows to about 10 MB per second because it gets so hot.

Note these are slow AF for writing (I believe the 15MB listed), the up to 150 is reading speeds (also largely theoretical, and not REMOTELY USB 3.1 speeds so consider that label pure marketing.)

For the cost this is a good deal just note it really does write at the mentioned abysmal speed, so click it and forget it when you fill it up 😂

"1.21 JIGOWATTS!"
No..wait ... that for time travel,
*USB 3.1 Gen 1 should support speeds of up to 5Gbit/s

I don't get it, why is it so slow to wrote? I have smaller capacity version of this and it's not too bad.
Also do a lot of people write a lot of data all the time? I use these to store Email archive PST files.

SanDisk claim 1.2 GB video transfer to drive in "less than 30 seconds." It seems that's a bit faster than quoted above.

What makers/models have reasonable write speeds?

Honestly, it depends how much you're going to be willing to pay You can get 40 MB write speeds from Amazon's "high speed" version. But if you want true bus speed numbers you're going to need to get a proper SSD portable drive (or make your own with a case and SSD drive...)

If speed is in important consideration make sure to read any posting and look for write speeds (if it's not mentioned in the description it will inevitably be in the reviews as is the case for the Amazon one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B61DGG18/ ) for me, this is perfect for sharing video files with friends, I just start the copy early in the visit, or do it the night before. So I'm in for another one this round ❤️

It will possibly do it (presumably that was in controlled environment and in normal use the problem is the other 200 GB...) This is an incredibly slow to write drive which you will probably see repeated multiple times in the comments, but it's totally functional 🤷
