Beware the crazy low prices on these drives (and certain other related items)! There's typically a "good" reason for such extreme price reductions!....which translates into "bad" for the users!

I wasn't aware that there's a monetary benefit to recycling batteries at Staples? They provide a credit of $2 each for recycling ink cartridges (up to 10, on a monthly basis), which can be used to purchase products there.
True. Super slow for usb 3.1. Stupid slower than usb 2.0 drives.
Depends what you use it for. I have a 128gb one with movies for my kids always in the tv. As long as it is fast enough to stream movies it doesn't need to be faster.
But if you are needing to backup 200gb of files at the end of the day before you head home, speed is key.

I believe that's only if you buy ink through them you can recycle
Cheap Sandisk drives aren't great. I'd spend a little extra for Samsung flash drives if you care about speed. Otherwise these are okay. Just don't expect true USB 3.0 speeds. They get really hot but so far my Sandisk hasn't died despite that.
It's USB 3.1 Gen 1 and not, 3.2 so 150Mbps vs 450Mbps transfer speeds
It runs hot!
The "original" $50 price tag is not accurate at all. The highest its been over the last year was $25 and $12ish is the norm.

There are much better options out there.
