My GFCI tripped as soon as I plugged it in. I took it apart and found one of the wires was damaged. It appeared it was pinched between the case during assembly, I was able to cut the section out and recrimp the connection. The unit works great now.
Just wanted to share my experience. My unit obviously wasn't thoroughly inspected or tested.
