You can see the expected parts list on Cooler Master's [coolermaster.com] site and compare their retail on a site like PC Part Picker [pcpartpicker.com] if you want to tightly evaluate the retail component price vs. this pretty solid deal.

As a bonus, you're getting a system with standard user-replaceable parts. No custom motherboards, cases, power supplies, etc.

Good luck!

That's a solid price for a prebuilt.

What features? Older z690 supports ddr5... you can build pc on older chipset, on older chipset, ddr4 which will be cheaper and faster than newer...
The price difference between DDR4 and 5 is negligible, and DDR5 will only become cheaper as DDR4 phases out.

Performance between the two also isn't as cut and dry as you're inaccurately stating.

As far as features go, support for newer PCIe and USB generations is an obvious one.

Sorry, but the price for RAM and M/Bs is currently notable. Similar performance RAM cost is like 30..40% more, similar mobos cost like 10..20% more. On the other hand, PCIe and USB performance differences would not even be notable for most folks in real applications. Future proofing could be a pointless money trap without specific plans.

If you want to play new releases on max settings, look elsewhere. 32GB of RAM and a 4070 are entry level in 2024.
lol no theyre not ...

this machine will run most new games fine and smooth at mid-high settings

Totally agree. How difficult is it to replace the from 2.0 ports and where did you get the parts? Thanks!

I used this: https://www.amazon.com/HCFeng-USB...B0CHVDJ759

I had to break off the plastic around the 3.0 extension headers with a pair of needle nose pliers so i can mount them flush into the plastic bracket that held the 2.0 headers.

my next upgrade will be usb 4.0 which unfortunately only comes in type c, which means it will be a simple extension cable that i would have to run through the case, out the back and plugged into the motherboard back panel, as i dont see any c-type motherboard headers. it will take some creative modding and a hot glue gun to mount the ports to the front panel.

Nvidia is in another league with dlss though Intel is catching up. Personally, for entry level I can see the 4060 and dlss but I'd probably go AMD unless stepping up to the 4070 or above. Again though dlss is very nice and a fair use case at these specs
