Definitely YMMV on the infinite free trials trick, but it's worth giving it a try in exchange for free Platinum (you just have to repeat the process every 3 months). The link below lets you run the script online, or you can click through and download it to your computer.

To run it online, click the Fork button and create or sign in to a free Replit account. After you're signed in, click My Repls in the menu and find activate_radio. Finally, click the green Run button and enter your Radio ID when it asks for it (no other personal information needed). It will display a whole bunch of text, including an error message or two, but that's normal. As long as you see Success in there somewhere, it may have worked.

Leave your car turned on for 5-15 minutes in view of the sky and your radio should be activated. If not, try it again once or twice as the activation process can be a bit unreliable. If it still doesn't work after that, you're probably out of luck.

I don't think you know what a fact is. 🤔

I have no clue what you're talking about about or how it relates to anything being said in this entire thread.

We're talking a subscription service and the methods of which to cancel (in California). Nobody is talking about downtime, technical issues, or otherwise. I've also included the verbage for renewals (again, in California).

Might I suggest re-reading everything again...?
It was stated when the person could not cancel online that was illegal by SiriusXM. It was not illegal for that instance unless they removed being able to cancel, rather than at that at that moment there was a problem.

Trial was expiring next week. Called and asked for 3 yrs/$99 subscription offer (seen here last year). In case they said no, also gave this offer $3/mo. for 36 months. As others mentioned, they said no and cited vehicle year and other higher offers e.g. $4-5/month. Wouldn't budge and said I would cancel. She spoke to "supervisor" twice and finally got 3 yrs/$99 for a 2024 Subaru.

Subscription Fees
$99.00
US Music Royalty Fee
$21.19
Other Fees Taxes
$7.63
Less: $.19 credit (for Trial)

TOTAL: $127.63 (paid up front)

Took about 35 minutes from start to finish so just be a little patient with the "supervisor" consults

It is illegal in California to not allow the same method used to create an account to be used to also cancel that same account (meaning if you can create an account online, you can cancel an account online) - which I went into great detail with on page 3. Your reply to me was incorrect in any context with anything I said. I even cited specific California laws regarding account cancellation methods, including online.

So again, your out-of-context reply to me made no sense - and still doesn't.

Please talk about the deal itself or move on. You seem to be most in the conversation you're attention to have with me here.

I got this deal last night via online chat. The plan I swapped is on a 2017 Toyota Tacoma; I didn't really care about cancelling or not, so I just kept saying I wanted to cancel. There was a little bit of pushback, but once I made my terms clear, that made it happen with no real problem.

Is there a way to sign up for this without a compatible radio? So I can just use the app?
Yes. There is an option for App Only (in the purple section up top, just under the Popular Plans heading)

You replied to me, and I answered with a correct reading of the incident reported. What you posted is law, that in this particular case did not have an affect if it was over technical issues the person could not cancel.

You replied to me first with irrelevant context that I was wrong about CA law (I'm not). I didn't reply to anybody directly when I posted the CA law about account cancellations back on page 3 but was adding information to the post as needed for the cancellation issues people have with SiriusXM.

Please stop already - for the second time.

Only boomers use Sirius XM. Thats a fact.

I have a car that doesn't have car play and using Bluetooth is flakey at best and still annoying when it does work. I have gotten used to having SiriusXM, but I'm not paying more than $5 a month for it and $3 a month sounds pretty good

$3/mo is about what I would pay for SiriusXM. Put in my account info for my '21 Bolt, offer changed to $5/mo for 12 mos. Hard pass for the bait and switch.
Same experience here.

Don't waste your money subscribing to 2 vehicles. Just subscribe once, and use the app to stream in the 2nd car.
As a technically challenged person, can you tell me where I can find how to get the app nd steam to a second car? Thanks in advance.
