The only question: If it's worth another $50 to get the (admittedly, orange only) model with touchID (easier logins and authentications), 1/8th more GPU grunt, 2 more USBC ports, and an ethernet port in the power supply (which is surprisingly convenient!)
I'd say it IS worth another $50 for most people: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/imac...22Deals%
(Just click on M1 8 Core and then the orange color to see the $850 price)
The best 'deal' is probably open box M1 8 GPU-core (touchID) for $800, excellent condition. That would be worth getting…

Same specs my PC had in 2014. Enjoy your new Mac.
Seems extreme. Dings are just cosmetic, some don't care, and maybe it was urgently needed for Boot Camp so had to go Intel.
I could, literally, watch someone light the first comic of Spider-Man with a collectible $1K bill and not bat an eye.
I bought my wife an M1 MacBook Pro and was impressed. M1 feels as fast as my 5900x 64GB 4TB NVMe at anything web based, which is practically everything today. Great performance in anything Adobe as well.

I would at least get the 512gb for $899

That's why everyone knows the most dangerous things in the known universe are... data centers. If these iMac cables that have an absolutely insane 2-foot run of Ethernet/electrical inside basic, insulated, shared housing are capable of burning down a house (which, again, they definitely, definitely are), then the dozens-to-hundreds of Ethernet and electrical cables running packed in next to each other behind the walls of these incredibly dangerous and irresponsible data centers means that just a single server room in one data center could rip the Earth apart into individual atoms at any moment.
God help us all.
And please don't talk to me about how Windows machines are a better value. This Dell Inspiron 24" all-in-on with 8GB RAM and an Intel Core 5 proc [dell.com] is the exact same price. I can guarantee you the iMac is a better build quality. For one the iMac has a 4K screen and the Dell has a FHD from probably back when the iPhone 4 came out.
either way, this is e-garbage because of its ram
" defaults write -g com.apple.mouse.scaling 6.0" into terminal (without quotes), hit enter, reboot the machine.
I don't remember but I think default should be 4.0, some people run it as high as 7.0

It's just super disappointing to see they haven't updated the 27" or come out with a larger size for so many years.
