The only question: If it's worth another $50 to get the (admittedly, orange only) model with touchID (easier logins and authentications), 1/8th more GPU grunt, 2 more USBC ports, and an ethernet port in the power supply (which is surprisingly convenient!)
I'd say it IS worth another $50 for most people: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/imac...22Deals%
(Just click on M1 8 Core and then the orange color to see the $850 price)
The best 'deal' is probably open box M1 8 GPU-core (touchID) for $800, excellent condition. That would be worth getting…

And be happy a $4000 Apple M3 Max laptop can beat a basic $300 Intel CPU. That's what you're reduced to.
You lost, Elon. Face it and move on. What I wrote previously was completely correct.
what kind of idiot compares a full M3 laptop to just a chip to talk about price? Do you just run the intel CPU plugged into your brain like neurolink without anything else? You would. lol
Who is comparing laptops (except you…)? I clearly said studio in the original statement …go back and read…. Again.
If they are still using a 2011 and trying to tell you about a 2021 model...
This would be like listening to your grandma with her 20 year old laptop telling you it's as fast as the ones in store.
Be very cautious of the advice you heed from online.
No offense Gary but with your down votes, it seems you are an outlier. I currently use a 2021 m1 and Asus zenbookand have owned many macs and Windows before
Thank you for your kind words! I see and tell it like it is! My 2011 iMac was just as fast as the M1 machine that I returned. Grant it, I only surf the net and do no editing or open multiple screens. Figured I will wait for the M3 to come down in price. I need to upgrade due to no security updates on my old iMac.
Thank you for letting me know that. It's tough Apple won't support that model anymore. It's a great machine!
If Gary wants to sit here and tell everyone he can't tell a difference between a 2011 iMac and a 2021 iMac, that sounds more like a problem unique to Gary than anything else, alas.

Is good deal.
Is fast.
I'm making myself to get used to Mac though I hate Mac OS just because how cool these M series run and how long the battery lasts.
ROFL. Arm has nothing to do with it. Storage has gotten fast enough on an platform including mobile phone and Windows PC that having to page something isn't a huge profit hit like back in the HDD days.
Much better PC's out there than Mac's as their overpriced just like the rest of Apple products. End rant.
