Interesting, wasn't this $1699 on sale before being clearance and with a $100 gift card to boot? Still an amazing prize for a QD OLED if you don't mind not having Dolby vision, but not the hottest price ever.

It definitely was. Best Buy added the gift card when stock was extremely limited. Either way, it's a great deal!

Funny enough I just bought a open box of this Tv for $900 at BB a week ago (new condition but missing remote and stand). Literally woke up this morning to the screen panel falling off the housing still attached to the wall mount lol. I have a open ticket with Samsung for "repair" but I think they'll likely replace it. Great TV tho minus my current issue

Great deal if they are still available near you
Definitely the best price to performance OLED deal of last year's models, IMO

This is a great OLED TV for movies and shows that are in HD and UHD.

But if you watch a lot of cable sports and stream lower quality content like YouTube I'd advise against this TV. I bought this at the same price and returned it after a few weeks. Mainly because watching sports, in general, on this TV wasn't that great. Player outlines would get pixelated due to bad smoothening and motion processing. Colors are fantastic but the automatic brightness limiter dimmed bright camera angles instantly which is very noticeable and annoying. And this is using an Apple TV 4K to stream my content.

In the end, I swapped this for a Sony 75" X90L for a better sports experience.

If it wasn't for that, I would've loved to keep this TV. UHD movies are bright, sharp, and colors look AMAZING.

Same here. Shipping not available today, nor back when it included the $100 gift card.

It's interesting that they carry both the S89C and the S90C. Rtings [rtings.com] reports that the S89C is "a Best Buy exclusive and is only sold in a 77-inch format ... with the only notable difference being that it uses feet instead of a stand"

Don't have this issue with mine. Been watching baseball on it.

If you're going to spend this much money on a TV, I'd get the QN77S90C (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWFVJVTX) for $200 more.

RTINGS.com ranks the 90C slightly better:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews.../s90c-oled

89C:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews.../s89c-oled

Consumer Reports Links for TV reviews gave the two the same rating.
https://www.consumerreports.org/e...vs/c28700/

This was on sale for employees/students/military for Memorial Day on the frontpage: https://slickdeals.net/f/17516313-77-class-oled-s90c-samsung-us-1709-99

I bought my S90C this morning. Looking forward to hearing people's thoughts!

I think they are the exact same TV....

So one has to decide if the S90C stand is worth $200 extra to them

No. This was a big hangup for me before buying, but now that I've had the tv for a few months, I don't miss DV at all. This TV shreds anything else in terms of color volume and screen uniformity (literally ZERO DSE) around the same price, even the LG C3 (which is still a fabulous TV of course, esp. at the recent $1500 finds).
