Come on..don't people already have a bin full of old power strips (this thing barely qualifies as a surge protector) they don't use? I guess the only positive thing here is a 12 foot cord.

No, they don't. And if they do, they probably should toss them, as they probably no longer provide the rated surge protection.
Yes, I would not use this for anything that requires surge protection, even brand new.
Yes, the only thing I clicked here for is the longer cord, which is pointlessly hard to find on a power strip. No reason why a power strip can't have a longer cord, so long as the user has sense enough to only use it for a small number of low power devices.

This thing only has 250W protection. I would not be surprised if it's clamping voltage stinks too. This is closer to a typical power strip than a useful surge protector. I would spend a little more if you're looking for surge protection. Otherwise a cheap power strip would suffice.
