I tried the deal. you must remain with AT&T for a minimum of two months to unlock your phone. Since they didn't unlock my phone, I had to trade it in to Samsung to obtain an unlocked device.
The point of the deal is to get it unlocked using SIM swap instantly.

Damn, wish I'd brought my gift card to work with me. Will be jumping on this one when I get home.
Better pay with cc for extended protection... You won't get that perk with gc

Started the download, thanks for the tip.

Is there a separate odin file for S23+ we need to use?
You mean the Odin application? Use the same file as linked in the original post, the "v3.14.1_3B_PatchedD.zip" file.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
The S23 ultra showed up as available for shipping so I got all the way to the last screen, and then it said it was not available. Crazy.
Same thing happened. I chatted with Best buy, they said it's OOS.

What is the cheapest way to get a new phone number to then port for this deal?

Do I get a new account in Tello for $10 with an ESIM?

TIA

Found a new plan for $5

This might be useful if AT&T had service. When you get out of the big cities they fail to compete. Verizon and T-Mobile are your choices if you want/need country wide coverage.
I was somewhere 2 months ago for one week where both my Tmobile phones were completely out of service range, but all the people on AT&T had coverage. I've since ported one of my phones to a different network.

So I did the whole thing and got an unlocked S23 (using Tello number). But I put the Tello eSim on the S23 and it is still working (messaging and making calls with the original Tello number). But how could this be, since I ported that number out into ATT service which I then cancelled. Does the number automatically just go back to Tello? Or was there a problem in the porting process? Weird...

My apologies if it has been already asked and answered; I wanted to buy this phone using this deal and use AT&T service for few months. It is not showing their least expensive plan that I can use without giving out all my information. I know I can check in the AT&T website, wanted to make sure what kind of plans that are offered through this deal. In other words, I just wanted to know what was the least expensive pre-paid plan that I can sign-up for and get this phone. (I will use for 3 months and then port back to t-mobile)

If the S23 Ultra becomes in stock then is it worth $735 ($550 + $50 (assuming tax is around $50) + $35 activation + $100 (2 months service) ) ?

The point of the deal is to get the phone unlocked right away and cancel the service so you are looking more at $600 plus change. S23U is totally worth it for they price.

This deal is for the postpaid account but after getting the phone you can cancel the account anyway. You can then choose the lowest plan from ATT and use this phone on it. If you are planning to go back to T-Mobile.make sure to unlock the phone before cancelling using the steps mentioned in the post.

It's possible the number has not ported yet, check att.com/portstatus.

Thank you! I agree. But don't see any in stock at stores. Someone mentioned above that it was available for shipping but they couldn't complete the order. So in case if one manages to place a shipping order it will take more than 3 days to be delivered (most cases) and hence we cannot avoid the activation fees. Can we still cancel after the 3 day point? In which case will need to pay $35 for the activation but can avoid the 2 months service plan charges. That would cost around $600 plus change like you mentioned above.

You cancel the line until 14 days under buyers remorse. Activation fee can be taken off from the bill by clicking on the link "don't recognize the fee" even if you cancel after 3 days but that's YMMV. However, I don't think they will have those in stock anymore...
