If anyone is trying to decide between the regular and executive membership, just know/remember you need to spend $3000 in store or online annually (with a few exclusions) for the executive membership to pay for itself/recoup the extra cost. Every dollar after that is profit.

And I believe you can get a refund if you decide halfway through that you definitely won't make it, just in case.

Their scan and go app is phenomenal though. Hate standing in line at Costco like a sucker. Their TP and paper towels are still cheaper than HEB, and better quality too. Bottled water is cheaper as well, if you need bottled water.

FYI for anyone who bit on the $20 card offer last week - no price match on membership promotional offers. I tried on chat with a representative earlier.

I signed up just now and paid by visa one click pay

after account creation it is still showing me to setup auto renewal and payment info is not added

what does this mean ? do I have to add auto renewal now ? or is the promo not applied ?

that way you can buy the offer now, activated it may1 for the 13th month.
you'll get the $40 gift card code via email, just print it and bring it to the store
and the cashier can scan it at checkout to give you the credit on your purchases.

personally i don't trust doing anything directly with costco
their websites are way too antiquated to handle this right.
i don't recommend using costco online for purchases either.

The penny off supposedly shows that the promotion was applied. I bought a membership last week with the $20 digital card reward that can take up to 2 weeks for email delivery.

When I am trying to sign up, it takes me to login screen after I have filled my address details, phone number and email etc. But then it's asks for membership id when I am trying to login via password reset. I am sure I am on the wrong path.
Can someone suggest how to sign up fresh. I was never a Costco member, new to USA

Edit: NVM, I figured it out.
