I think this will be the new standard for ultrawides. There have been a few deals with 60Hz, both VA & IPS, have been ~$200-250 range, I'm planning to return the staples one ($250) solely because the 60Hz, which I'd still prefer to this one.

The Staples one though is IPS, this is VA. I have the Staples one, the display is really crisp. Still pretty good for gaming if you are ok with 60fps (4K 144hz is pretty demanding, most people don't have a computer that can handle it yet). You also lose the docking hub that's built into the staples computer

Exactly why I'd keep the staples over this.

I currently have a 144hz 1440p monitor and am building a new system to game on. IMO Ultrawide is the way to go for gaming and productivity, so waiting on a OLED deal and a 4070 super (I should have hopped on the newegg sale and just bought the two extra items as trash) and still want usb-c/thunderbolt on the monitor for my work computer/laptop, and use the USB & DP connected to the new setup.

Be careful these are not the same models. I have the .aus model from Best Buy and love it for work from home. It has the usb-c port that acts as a dock and charges the laptop at the same time. Works great and would definitely buy again at this price.

Thanks for the comments! Just wondering if you knew the different between the .AUS / non .AUS models? I've tried searching to no avail. From my research, I've seen some have commented it's different colors or just different versions retailers get, but on LG's website [lg.com] there's only one manual listed for the 35WN75C-B.AUS and 35WN75C

There used to be a chart on Rtings.com showing the difference which now I can't find. But I believe the main difference to me was that of the 3 models one doesn't provide power, one provides 45w, and the .aus model provides 90w. There were other differences but I was basically looking for a usb-c monitor that provides power to my laptop so only a single connection is needed.

I bought this from Costco last year at $299 (my old Acer died during a power outage and Costco gave me store credit).

For casual gaming, it's perfectly (use the game mode) fine. 100hz is totally fine..I play a LOT of COD and Elden Ring/Skyrim and no issues since most of the newer games now support ultrawide modes. I'm waiting for new Elden Ring DLC and will be wasting my life away on this same monitor.

Color gamut can be fine tuned off AMD settings (I have a old RX5700XT card that's running strong to this day). For the price, no complaints (and the fact I bought from Costco which means "free" lifetime warranty).

PS: Ya can use any refresh tool and run this at 105Hz (this is what I'm running currently). Anything over 105hz, it goes to a black screen.
