I have a Cuisinart 10-cup grind and brew with stainless steel carafe that I purchased 2-3 years ago. Though it makes good coffee, the daily cleaning and drying of the bean grinder makes it not worth it and makes me wish I stayed with a separate grinder. The culprit is that while the coffee is brewing, the grinder component fills with condensation that turns the leftover grinded dust into muck. I have to clean then dry that everyday, kinda annoying. If you don't mind the extra couple minutes of cleaning *every* single day, then you'll probably like it.

Have one I have used daily for 11 years :-) Whole beans are generally cheaper and keep longer. Highly recommend!

Edit update: the new one arrived yesterday, and has several improvements to the original design:a re-done filter basket with flip top, inclusion of a nice gold-grid metal filter, a "Clean Now" indicator, and a new "Clean Cycle". Can now adjust the time-on feature of the hot plate ( from 1 to 4 hours, 2 is std). It also is quieter than my previous grinder models. And the stainless finish looks much nicer than the old black+stainless finish :-)

Awesome deal - I bought a second one - thanks OP!

Are the grounds generally the same size shape so it's a consistent brew for each pot?

In for one. Replacing a perfectly good Cuisinart Coffee Maker.
It has been a no complaints Coffee maker for years.
I was holding off for a Technivorm Mocha Master but my family has just not gotten the hint for Xmas the past few years.
Switching over for the thermal carafe instead of the Coffee Cooker and Glass pitcher.
Also simplifying by putting away the grinder.
Now to find a good way to vacuum store Whole beans

I've tried a bunch and this Airsacpe one [amazon.com] is the best I've used. There are a few different rebrands of it.
I got a couple from this really good deal a while back but haven't seen it near that price since. This thread seems to be a pretty good deal - Direct link [planetarydesign.com] to the 40% off canister

I've been looking for a grind and brew for a couple of months now. Any other opinions on whether this is a good product? Id' like something that is basic, but well made and works well. I've seen reviews of other ones that leak and spill grounds all over the place. Trying to avoid dealing with that.

I haven't been able to find any indication that this one uses a burr grinder. I have an older Cuisinart grind and brew that has a burr grinder. I like it and have been using it for many years. It makes good (not the best) coffee and is very reliable and convenient. This one may be as good, but I believe burr grinders are supposed to produce better grind consistency for a better brew. Mine is an older DGB 800.

This one uses a blade grinder, not a burr grinder.

Agreed, I have a ninja coffee maker and separate grinder

In for one. Never purchased from BuyDig before so hoping no problems if it arrives damaged or some other issue arises.

"Blade grinder," so no. Considered trash by those who know and care. A burr grinder is the standard (and more expensive).
