Using alkaline batteries in a flashlight is just asking to find them leaking and corroded when you actually need the flashlight.

For me I stopped using them as my faves mostly due to having five modes, but no memory of your last used setting. So you will need to press button four times to get back to your prior used mode.
e.g. I last used it on high, Next use it will start on Med, next use it will start on low, etc... This might be acceptable for some uses, but not preferred for others. It really is annoying when you start with the strobe. Kinda scary.
As mentioned, not that bright even on high. I do like the zoom capability. Just wish it had a memory.
On one of mine the power switch started acting up. No doubt due to having to click it so often.
