At $750 this is already the cheapest I've seen a 4070ti super 16gb (they're normally closer to $800 on sale), so if you stack cb and have an amex offer available this is a very good deal.

1070ti was released at a price of $499.

Intel's consumer market CPU's have not increased in price this much, and have sales within a year after launch.

NVIDIA needs to face more competition.

I would say yes- you'll see 2x performance improvement across the board and the improvements with Ray tracing, frame generation and DLSS stuff. But it only makes sense for 1440p gaming with RT.
