Anyone try that with Apple phone sales or your local Apple store? I know they don't seem to discount anything beyond 10%.
The local store thing had worked for me a few years back, and they surprisingly PM'd, but not sure if they will do that now, especially with such significant discounts.
They won't price match with other locations as they're saying Indy only. Best Buy is starting to catch on and starting to limit the price matching but if you're lucky you can get it.
Usually it works but I believe you have to pay the difference in state taxes, which is about $10-40 bucks depending on the region.
So there's 3 steps:
1: Price match and do local pickup to the local store in Indianapolis
2: Change to shipping instead of pickup (or change pickup location) Chat/call 2nd rep for this
3: Pay sales tax difference (should be able to be done on the 2nd rep but I did this on my 3rd rep)
All 3 are required or you wont get your product (mine never shipped until this am when I called and paid the additional sales tax)

Great tips. Hasn't shipped yet. I wonder if it matters that my sales tax is lower. I'll wait to see if it ships this weekend and they'll just refund the difference. If not, then I'll go to BB again. Great thing is that BB is offering an extra $100 rewards bonus to members this weekend for M3 Macbooks. This will be the most killer deal if I actually get it.
