This guy has been doing this kind of work for nearly 80 years; he can say what he wants because he has seen it. When he was born, there were just over 2 billion, and in just over 100 years there are over 8 billion. I am not hear to debate, but for anyone that thinks that 8 billion+ people living on one planet doesn't change anything... You can fill in the rest.

On a different note, great deal. I have enjoyed all of them since the OG Planet Earth. I have seen others narrated by Oprah and such, while good, it just wasn't the same. It will be a sad day for me when DA leaves Planet Earth.

The endless climate change narratives have ruined this kind of documentary.

I agree that it's hard to listen to, but this is a documentary after all and is meant to present the world as it is. It's a sad truth that humans are ruining many aspects of the natural world.
But it isn't, its a thin narrative meant to string together ever more superficial nature shots.

Its often blatantly misleading, like when they did that story of the walruses going off a cliff and blamed it on climate change, obviously the best way down is the way they got there, so they just got spooked and got caught up in crowd behavior, perhaps initiated even by the documentary crew.

These documentaries have become tiktok like entertainment, snippets without substance.

I think we all agree that mankind has done some bad things to the planet. Why I don't purchase these videos is because I don't want to tune in for a lecture about it and walk away feeling crappy. I simply want to enjoy the beauty of nature.

So when are they going to release Marty Stouffer's Wild America in 4k blu-ray?

You could listen to music of your choosing instead.

Just received my "The Green Planet" and the case was clearly damaged and the shrink wrap was not original. It seemed to be shrink wrapped again and sold as new. The discs have scratches and fingerprints on the underside. Not gonna buy from this website again. First and last time.
