does anyone know if best buy will start marking their tvs down too? I've been told it's usually around this time of year but don't have a concrete answer.

They are still out there. I saw a 55" C3 new in box on the floor at the local Target @ 50% off but I passed.
How much was it?

Found a 65" in Northern Virginia yesterday, but rung up at $1599. Bought it anyways in hope of price match.

For those that successfully did this, how'd you pull it off? Is it just trying different stores with the receipt? Is there any way you can tell if other targets (which are sold out) have it listed at $1000 (instead of $1599) or do I have to drive around and go check the scanners in the store myself? Wondering if there's a simpler way. Thanks for all your help!!
Do a return/repurchase.
Worked for me.

Looking for any input on getting the 55 display model with no remote. The mgr. wouldn't discount it any further. Is it worth $750??

It depends on if you want the "Magic Remote" cursor function. The correct remote is $25 for knockoff or about $50 for official. If you've never used that function or hate it, as some people do, then a cheap universal remote would be fine.

I had a similar experience by my parent's house in Ocala, FL. They would only do 15% "Because it's already discounted". (My thoughts are that so are the new ones, whereas a display is extensively used. That's why it can be discounted up to 30% off). I just told her that it's not worth it without at least the remote. I don't know if this store just hasn't gotten all their new TVs yet, or if they're hoping it won't sell so they/friend can buy it at 70% off. They still had most of their display TVs on the wall. Meanwhile two Targets in my area have about 3-6 of their old TVs left.

I was able to get myself a 65" last week, and when I went in Sunday because the remote wasn't fully compatible with the TV, the same awesome employee said he actually had found the rest of the accessories for a few of the display TVs. I showed him my receipt, and he went back there and found the corresponding Stand/remote/etc. for me. Gave him back the old remote and went home even happier.

I currently have a Samsung TV with Samsung Soundbar. If I replace the TV with this LG but leave the Samsung soundbar, will it work as seamlessly with the LG remote?

I found the last one 55" NIB within at least 100 miles but it's still marked at $750. Just debating if it's worth going for it or risking another week. All the others stores showing qty 1 are likely display units.

I already have a 55" OLED. I would have taken the 65" model because of the great price even though I would prefer a 77" model.

Are some of you having problems with some Target stores refusing to add additional 30% discount for display models? They said it's already been discounted enough.

Is anyone able to send me a copy of their receipt that they were able to buy the 55" for less than the $750?

If you are able to find one, these are still at 50% off clearance, it should be sometime this week that the go down to 70% off clearance.

Imo a 70% off clearance + 10 - 20% because it's a display model would be a great buy.

If it has 5000+ hours on it, you can always just do an LG panel manufacturer warranty swap.
