Walmart just reduced Iphone 12 BLACK 64GB to $2.75 per month for 36 months.

Verizon - https://www.walmart.com/ip/seot/768996075?listRegistryId=890b3ee4-f0db-4ef9-9035-c0894d6461f8&listRegistryType=WL [walmart.com]

Att - https://www.walmart.com/ip/seot/109096620?listRegistryId=890b3ee4-f0db-4ef9-9035-c0894d6461f8&listRegistryType=WL [walmart.com] NLA

Its not monthly credits so please donot ask this question in comments.

You will be billed $2.75 per month for 36 months so you can pay $99 after 14 days and get your line free again.

New and existing customer will be charged $35 activation fees.

Existing customer total - $99+ TAx + $35 upgrade feee

New customer can try paying off the phone at corporate store with in 14 days or via customer service and can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation fees. huge YMMV thought.

So worst case scenario for new line - $99 + $35 activation + 14 days bill (as you can cancel as soon as you pay it off after 14 days and cancel the line )

You are always so fast to post these, I assume you have a script or you check every morning (like me 😁). For what it's worth, the listings for IPhone 12 Pro & Max are also $2.75 and Mini for $1.37, but both are out of stock online. I assume since the price dropped though that means there may be stock in some stores if people are lucky enough.
No, I just have a list of saved items in the Walmart app that I refresh each morning. The 11 dropped to $100 on a Tuesday in April last year so I was expecting this to happen around now.

Even though I'm on vzw postpaid, tempted to try the att trick. Worst case, I'll trade it into apple for $205 in gift card credit.

According to sickw, it's currently in flex policy mode.

Until 05/04/2024, device payment is only available through cash payment at a Verizon Store. After that date, you'll be able to pay off your device online.

so i cant payoff from online, i need to go to store?
I ended up calling customer service. Rep couldn't do anything on her end but transferred me to someone higher up. She was able to send me a link to pay it off.
I checked my account after payment and it was good.
Definite YMMV.
I'm glad I was able to pay it off online cause I used my amex card. In case it's not possible, going to the store with cash would be the best option.

I paid off my phone at the Verizon store as soon as I received it. The store provided me with a phone number in case I needed to cancel my line. I canceled my phone, and an agent assured me that no activation fee would be charged. After a few days, I inserted a Tracfone SIM card that I purchased 6 months ago due to a free Motorola phone promotion, into the new phone, and it worked perfectly. I guess Tracfone works even within the 60-day locking period because it is owned by Verizon

Did you try to insert another SIM card and verify if it is unlocked

The phone is still sealed in its box. With it being in flex mode, my understanding is the first SIM I insert to activate will be the carrier it's locked on to. Hence the reason I want to try the att trick to bypass the vzw 60 days.

You may have locked the phone to tracfone permanently. The device came from Walmart in "reseller flex" status; hence the reason the att sim trick works.

Let us know if it automatically unlocks after 60 days, or whether you have to fight tracfone CS for it. They may only work with you if you have service with them.

Hi, can someone point me to the step by step AT&T unlock trick ? I don't see it in the wiki.

Found it: https://slickdeals.net/f/16697630-128gb-apple-iphone-13-mini-for-verizon-product-red-5-55-month-for-36-months-free-s-h-w-upgrade-new-line-activation#post164078078

Do we have to pay off first then try to unlock using AT&T sim trick? Can someone tell me, can I unlock it using AT&T sim trick before paying off?

i often have issue activating iphones (failing activations). you either need to do it thru the verizon assistant in app/site or over phone with agent to get it to go thru.

I would like to know if we can do the att sim unlock trick BEFORE paying off the device. From what i've read, it seems most people are paying it off FIRST and then doing the att sim trick.

Please correct me if I am wrong and someone has firsthand experience with the latter.

I did not use the AT&T trick, so I can't help unfortunately. already activated on Verizon before realizing it.

Good to know! thx. Do you plan on doing the canceling thing to try and get your activation fee waived? In my account, I already see the 36 month contract totaling $99. I am certain the $35 activation fee will show up on my next bill if I do nothing. I am also on VZW postpaid and used one of our line's upgrade eligibility for this deal.

No I got this as upgrade. I have been doing the att trick since I learnt about it (unfortunately after the iPhone 13 mini deal, which I cannot get unlocked by verizon). The way the att trick has been working so far, everytime I do it I send my blessings to all who discovered it and posted it on SD

You and I are in similar boat regarding the "free" iPhone 13 mini issue where it's locked to VZW and they can't unlock it.

With that said, another SDer and I have been investigating the issue and tried the vzw prepaid trick a couple weeks back. If you want to be looped in on updates, send me a PM and I can add you to our Reddit thread.

Sure. No biggie, I keep it as my experimenting iphone (it's kinda cute). But ever since, I have used the att trick on iphones that have sim slot. Now, I am not sure if we will get charged $35 activ fee if we don't activate verizon sim. I'll wait, and if they do, I'll go ahead and activate verizon sim, as sometimes the line upgrade gets stuck in limbo if you don't activate.
