When you say picked up, was that from a local store? I thought this was shipped only. If that is the case, I'll head out now.
I meant to say it was delivered.

I cancelled the line within 3 days of activation via the chat, but it seems like they are still charging some portion of the bill. I am expecting to pay $20'ish bill, but will update when i receive it. Now i can't even log in to the account.

Did you pay it off first or just waiting to get billed for the phone?

Orders phone on April-18. Received and Activated on April 21 Sunday. I made a call for 1 minute. I don't see an option to pay Device payment through app or online . it just shows 36 month payment pending. I searched in help and got a link that device payment needs to be done by cash payment at verizon store, Did I miss any step ? Did any one else able to pay of device within 3 days ?

Walmart just reduced Verizon Samsung Galaxy S22+ 128GB - $199 ($5.53*36 months)

Verizon - https://www.walmart.com/ip/seot/2...tryType=WL

Its not monthly credits so please donot ask this question in comments.

You will be billed $5.53 per month for 36 months so you can pay $199 after 14 days and get your line free again. Phone will be unlocked automatically , once you activate the phone and make a call , even when you disconnect the line before 60 days

New and existing customer will be charged $35 activation fees.

Existing customer total - $199+ TAx + $35 upgrade feee

New customer ccan cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation fees. huge YMMV though . Make sure to pay off the phone before you cancel the line and make atleast one call or text to activate the phone.

I have ordered s23 plus with $75 plan. I received phone on day 3, by the time I setup CS was closed, so had to talk to few agents next day to payoff as initial couple said they could do only after a month in service. Then had to chat with couple to deactivate the line as some were saying they could only disconnect after one month. Now waiting for final bill through mail and 60days for the unlock

You have to do it either in cash at corporate store or try IVR at 611 and say "Pay off device".

I had to give up on this deal. I received the phone and was not able to activate it. Tried working with Verizon and Walmart instore and was not able to activate it. Prior to activation, it was showing that that my monthly cost ist -$10 per month which makes no sense and the phone won't activate.
Verizon was not able to pull up the deal that I have purchased through Walmart and was offering the phone to be 'free', but no early payoff posibility. Which meant being stuck with $80 verizon service for 36 month. I prompted turned down that offer.

I purchased the Samsung S23+ and chose a new line to be added to my account on 4/18. When I received the phone on 4/21, I tried to activate it, but found out SIM couldn't activate, so had to reach out to activate the eSIM. They gave me a new phone number(different from when I bought it) and now Verizon are telling me the phone is already paid off.
Did I get lucky and continue with the process of disconnecting the line without paying it off? I'm just worried the original contract is still stuck on to my account, but they confirmed they don't see that original number or contract under my account.

Giving me a headache...

I am in the exact same situation. Verizon can't find an account for me, and Walmart has no idea what they are talking about. There is no way to activate it.

I've had this with Walmart deals with the iPhone 13 minis a year ago and S23 plus 5 months ago and still unable to activate them. Walmart has some flaw in their system that they apparently still haven't fixed.
