Any one know how easy/hard it is to replace old over range microwave.
Also how much to get it installed.
Great price👍
As long as the mounting holes from your old over the range line up and the dimensions are around the same size it's not hard to DIY. Preferably a 2 person job. I think any capable handy man would do it for around $100 and that's here in Hawaii. Elsewhere you could probably find someone to do it for less
Costco has this for $330 and includes disposal of old microwave and install. I just got mine delivered yesterday and requested a price match. The guy was in and out in 30 minutes and had no issues removing my old one.

Bought one just like this and it died after around 4 years. It didn't even get much daily use, if any at all at times. It had some on and off problems with the door switches within 2 years. Now it just makes a horrible grinding noise and doesn't heat up. Googling suggests it's the big expensive and hard/dangerous part to remove that needs to be replaced and the general opinion is you might as well replace the entire microwave instead.
How you liking the microwave? planning to purchase one soon.
I've only had it a few days, but haven't had any issues. It replaces an 8 year old whirlpool microwave that started chipping. It matches my other appliances in the kitchen, comes with Costco warranty, and was a decent price. I am pretty happy with it.
Only 1000 watts. I'd also recommend getting one with an inverter if you're willing to dish out this much money. Inverter microwaves produce heat constantly, while standard ones go on and off to keep from overheating.
Imagine only being able to set your stovetop to high, and just putting the pan somewhere else for a few seconds to keep it from burning.
FWIW I've gone through two of these in the past 3 years. One had the computer fail and the second one had door mechanism break. Switched to a different appliance manufacturer. YMMV

Do you know of an over the range inverter microwave? I was unable to find one and would appreciate a link.

The point I was trying to make is if you need an install and haul away, order it from Costco and not Best Buy.

My LG was replaced yesterday in rental with this exact whirlpool model and took less than five minutes.
