My local Home Depot had Weed-B-Gone for $1. Obviously YMMV, but they had a ton of stock.

I had the same issue. This type worked very well for most weeds (so don't toss it out) but not certain grass weeds. So I got this one and it kills everything quickly, especially if you mix the stronger concentration of 7 oz per gallon (read bottle). Be careful near your trees.

My number one nemesis is oxalis, and this will not kill it, only atrazine will, and it's safe for southern grasses too.
