Target has 30-50% off TV's. I was able to snag the last Samsung 65" CU8000, 50% off retail, while passing by electronics @ $314.99. Use your target card for additional 5% off. They also had a 65" Vizio for $249.99. The TV's were propped up in front of Electronics Department.

Dumfries, VA 22025 Target store has 2 75" Samsung for $419.99, when I had left. Some Vizio's, LG's, and smaller TV's on clearance as well.

Could you please share proof of purchase for the price match near my target?
Store want proof of purchase.

confirmed they don't do the price match. their excuse for the 440 price is that the clearance deal is "up to 50" not necessarily 50%

managed to shave off a bit more with some badgering but just beware

No problem. It's unfortunate that retailers don't keep consistency across the board. Even their own stores don't price match with each other, which doesn't make sense. Another conglomerate, Wal-Mart, is also notorious for this practice.

I think its intentional. For some items, they all seem to follow the same mark down schedule. For others, it seems like they stagger it by a week or 2 (I think so that the hunters can't run around same day and get everything in town), but that's just a guess. and some product clearance markdowns are staggered for months (like 2-3 local stores will do the markdown today and the others wont until November or next February). I have no idea why they do the latter. But in some ways, it sometimes works in your favor. Imagine you see this post a day late. You might still have a chance at it. Has helped me out many times to get something bc I dont make a living reselling so I am often behind others, but the staggering in price drop gives me enough time to do some research and try to get something before its gone.

Nah, I think these varying price levels across stores has to do with each store managing its inventory toward greatest profitability.

For example if one Target location has a ton of a certain model that they can't sell, of course they'll cut the price deeper to lure some buyers.

And if another store *can* move the product at a higher price, why wouldn't they? They'd be foolish to give away money like that by cutting prices when they don't have to.

I mean what are inventory and store managers jobs anyway: to optimize profits for their respective store and make themselves look good as a result. Guaranteed there are company metrics tracking those financial indicators.

Either way, I like that the stores are not all on the same schedule.

I was trying to track down a $315 Samsung Cu8000 and found one for $350. I asked the electronics manager why the difference, and he explained it all depends on when the store receives the new models, and how urgent it is to clear out the old models to make room.
