I don't know what you mean by i9. This is about the same as last year's i9 13900h except with better battery life. If you mean HX processor, those do not exist on such a slim and lightweight laptop, and have half the battery life.
Yes i mean hx processor. You can get a laptop that is 1lb heavier and 1 inch greater in every dimension that has a hx processor. That's a lot of performance for such a small increase in bulk
I don't have the membership but I'm assuming I'd have 60 days to return it if I get it and buy this instead of the paltry 15 days...60 days of better price adjustment if it happens.
1 inch increase in every dimension is MASSIVE lol - it's not that big of a difference. The best option currently available is the Legion Pro 7i in my opinion and it's about 2 lb heavier.
Pro 7i weight: 6.1 pounds
Pro 7i dimensions: 0.86" x 14.3" x 10.3"
G16 weight: 4.1 pounds
G16 dimensions: 0.59" x 13.97" x 9.72"
You either want a MacBook-like experience and don't need the extra performance or you NEED the performance. If you need it then thin and light is never going to work for you.
Almost the same specs except a Core i9 vs i9 ultra.
The M16 does not have an OLED display though.

I bought the M16 as open box for $1185.

I just picked up this laptop. It is really light and thin. I think I would be okay with a legion 5 or maybe even a 7. Maybe a laptop at 5.5lbs with 1 inch bigger in every dimension might be okay for me personally.
Majority of the time my laptop will be sitting on my desk
I added a Samsung 16gb to my M16. Haven't had an issue. It is an oversight from ASUS not to start at 32GB. I find while gaming it uses 16-20GB when you have Steam and Discord open.

Yes on the M16, you can upgrade the Ram to 64GB & NVME SSD with a second slot available & battery upgradeable to a higher Amp for longer run time. The display is very good actually - non glare which is better for visibility. Potential for burn outs on OLED.
