Thank you OP; just in time for the spring time...these are perfect to grow those plants that do not have deep roots such as peppers and other leafy vegetables...here is a complete list for anyone interested.

I have these. Bury 3/4 into the ground and use them to grow water lilies; added goldfish to eat mosquitoes. Broken terracotta pots for them to hide when raccoons and herons harass them. At this price, I'm adding a couple more ponds for an expanding water lily collection.
"Indoor lemon tree" is simply a marketing gimmick to sell lemon trees to people who don't know any better. You need a huge amount of light from large windows to successfully grow a lemon tree indoors. They are outdoor full sun plants.

I'm getting charged for delivery. Not sure why, when the store is not too far from where I live ($16.98 + $8.99). Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? TIA.

Pick up two yesterday with online order placed 2 days ago. They are really huge. I picked up two more bags of potting mix from Costco afterward.

I bought 2 of these planters last week and used L brackets to attach an 8 foot 4x4 posts to the bottom of the barrel. Then I filled them up with 80lbs of landscape rock and then soil on top for some herbs. The planters held up nicely so far (I had to drill 4 more holes in the bottom for drainage) and look nice.
Sounds good...what are the posts for though?

I think my home Depot messed up because they loaded up 4 instead of 2 unless they are two packs

When I initially saw this deal last week, I was a bit upset because every HD in SD county showed OOS. Luckily I decided to check again this morning and saw HD had restocked in all three of my local stores and I grabbed four on the deal. Lesson learned: It's always worth a second look.

UPDATE: Celebrated too soon. 15 minutes after my last post, HD cancelled my pickup order. They still showed available stock for free delivery order so placed another order. Will add an update on final outcome.

FINAL UPDATE: Online order also cancelled. Just received a call from the delivery department informing me there are none of these in stock anywhere in San Diego County. All I can figure is someone added "ghost" inventory to the website when there weren't any items actually in stock. I'm a long time HD customer but situations like this one make me question my sanity for continually coming back to the well... and finding it dry.

FINAL FINAL UPDATE: Decided to give it one more try when I checked again a few days later and HD showed inventory in stock again. Ordered four more and the order went thru this time with delivery later in the day. Lot of effort to get the deal... but my wife is happy so it was worth it.

Bummer, I was happy to see it back in stock. Guess I won't get my hopes up.

That sounds really cool. Do you have to do anything for the goldfish? or just top off the water if it doesn't rain? I'll have to try this Smilie

Throw some cilantro in there with a tomato plant, too. The cilantro will make the tomatoes taste better, and if you live in a hot climate, the tomato plant will help shade the cilantro, to keep it from bolting so quickly.
I like basil and marigold for tomato companion plants for the same reason with the added benefit of some insects not liking marigolds so it is protective and basil helps tomatoes taste better as well. I also use a ton more basil than cilantro, but thanks for the suggestion.
