Ignore the sub on this deal. The speakers themselves are decent entry level speakers. Magnat is a long established German brand. About 20 years ago they got bought by the same company that owns Klipsch. Just keep in mind these are entry level speakers. With that said they are well reviewed by pro audio mags in Europe.
They are frequently compared to the Elac Debut which they perform very favorably against. So think of Elac Debut class of speaker and that is about what quality you can expect.
Klipsch speakers are muffled? I always heard that their sound signature was on the bright side.
Honestly, I had some shitty Infinity Entra speakers that I moved from to the Klipsch RP 8000F with their big big center channel and I constantly feel like it's muffled when I first start listening. I've even recalibrated multiple times trying to fix it. 😂 Figured maybe my ears are what's wrong because there is no way those Infinity Entra are a nicer speaker.

If these compare favorably to Elac Debut, then this is a killer deal. I went through Jamo, Klipsch and Polk before finding the Debut. Mostly neutral with good bass (not great) and incredible midrange and treble. Don't cause ear fatigue like the Jamos did and weren't boring like the Polks. Really, really good speaker for the price.
Just got these speakers, pretty farking amazing. Had a set of Jamos and these blow them away, the clarity and bass are amazing. Running it through a yamaha a6a preamp.

Is the price good for this? Like, too good to pass, or you will get more for what you are paying or you are getting what you are paying? lol.. I am asking as my wife's dad is in love with my sound system, but is nowhere near to being able to afford it. I would like to gift this for his birthday this month. I want to say he's not just an old fart, he's been an audiophile all his life, but i know he would appreciate something decent for him to watch movies and listen to music.
Not sure if you ended up buying these, but I can't imagine he'd be disappointed. Very good bang for the buck. I've had many high-end speaker sets, and I very much enjoy these. Good sensitivity, easy to drive and good detail without being fatiguing or harsh. Check 'em if you do buy- one of my bookshelves were broken and they exchanged. Very good of you to want to do that for him!

Curious why you said to ignore the sub. It's obviously not a giant-killer, but considering the price for a 12" sub, it's not bad. I'm running the 503s with the sub for 2-channel, and (at least in my room) it sounds better than the 507s by themselves. Deeper bass and not as boomy.

Are you sure this comes with the 12" sub and not the 8" sub? I've been trying to figure that out.

So I've been browsing on their website after buying this set and see a lot of used items. Were yours new or used!?

I received my set a couple of days ago. Everything was new. The set sounds awesome through my newly acquired Pioneer VSX-LX505! These speakers with their piano black front finish and silver speakers' rings look luxurious. Website's pictures don't really do justice to the set. Also, 12 in sub is more than adequate for 20X 15 room.

Crossover components are actually more impressive than what Klipsch uses in the RP series.
