    feel like you coulda just bought them a cheap desktop. coulda came with a monitor keyboard mouse etc, too. even something used on ebay could last longer. i've bought many hp mini machines off ebay.. they're awesome.. been running as servers and desktops. tons of ports and easy to self-upgrade. it was like $70.. that leaves a ton of $$ for a monitor keyboard etc.

    Yeah, I bought the open-box Extreme model from BB two weeks ago when it was $480 and it arrived pretty beat up so I returned it :/ This is still a fair price for the non-extreme model imo.

    The Ally X will cost over double this. So, I don't think the announcement changes much. This is a great deal for $379. Now if you're looking into the Z1 Extreme Ally then yeah I'd prob wait.

    You are right, I think it's the greed in all of us. But in honesty this is a pretty good device, and provides a little saving. I always said this at $300 and z1 extreme at $500 is the deal at this time. That $200 is significant.
