I leased an RWD SEL for 6k, 24/12, in California. To get an AWD for the same price is sick af. Good job. Car is great and makes Tesla feel like an econobox.
Owned a Model S, now own a limited spec Ioniq 5; can confirm.

Ok, won't be able to read 28 pages and I'm at a dealership right now. Whats the consensus on a good price for this (SE RWD)? I'm not on CO, so that OP deal doesn't apply here. I really liked the car tho, and it seems like financial incentives are better at the face value than for Solterra. TIA

So there is one single charging station compared to each gas station that has 12-16 gas pumps at each station? LMAO
How many plugs are in your house? Charge overnight and never visit a gas or charging station

Tesla called.
LOL Tesla is building low quality cheap dispensable vehicles. One of the absolutely worst EV's on the market when it comes to quality. Bunch of lame and useless gimmicks in a rattling go-kart level build.

260 Mi range for the AWD, with 320 HP versus. 310 Mi range and 425 HP for the Model Y LR. Don't need to.
Tesla also lies about their range. People are eating it up. Tesla cars' range drain on their own when the car isn't even moving. It's a glitchy pile of junk software to get the tech bros excited, horrible car.

How did you get a new car without spending $6k or more?

It wasn't new, why would I buy a new car that loses value as soon as you drive it off the lot? Smilie but I paid 20k cash. So after 8 years of leasing, that would cost what, 24k with this amazing deal? I don't see long-term benefits of renting a car. Same with renting an apartment.

Yep, electric is really going downhill these days quickly. Will be surprised to see EVs last much longer. Even the charging networks are falling apart too.

Thank goodness many of us stuck with gas all this time.
Yes, the independent charging networks are and have always been marginal at best. Tesla charging station have always been and still up and running with minimum issues. As far as whether EV cars will be around. I'd bet money they will be, but wouldn't bet my life on it.

Tesla has the lowest maintenance and repair cost of any brand, according to a new study by Consumer Reports
Hyundai, FWIW, came in about twice as costly as Tesla in years 1-5, and about 30% more costly in years 6-10.

BMW in these rankings came in near the bottom of the barrel (along with Audi and Mercedes-Benz) as all being among the most costly for maintenance and repairs.

agree . some what.

benefit depends on use case.

for example not everyone can afford a house and has to rent.
kids in college , have to rent once they go off campus.

back to ev.

i was like u as well. no point in leasing. buy.
until i got my first ev (89 mile range leaf...lol).

at the time, my primary vehicle was a ford escape ( i know, stop laughing).
it died after ~80k miles. needed new tranny.

so was able to secure a nice deal on the leaf.
v little down, (i think it was total less than $1k all inclusive).
and then 99 per month.

at the time i was putting in twice the amount in gas.
work (both spouse & I) had free charging.

so was no brainer.
get the leaf.
try out this "new " tech.
and save money over gas .
decide in 3years what to do. for long term.
