Google AI says: "Yes, lenders can consider immigration status when underwriting loans, and visa holders may be considered more risky than citizens. This is because immigration status can correlate with national origin, which is protected under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). Lenders can consider immigration status to assess their rights or remedies to recover funds, or if otherwise required to comply with other laws. For example, if a visa expires and the borrower must leave the country, the lender would be unable to recover the balance due on a loan."

I chose to do a 1 pay lease and just pay everything at signing. I also had offers for roughly the same total price with $0 down $254 per month, $1k down $207 per month, and $2k down $161 per month. Admittedly those are slightly better than the $6k upfront but they didn't come with the extra $2k in options which I chose to use on lease end protection and tire/wheel protection

This is cheap because it's very cheap feeling car. It felt cheaper than my girlfriend's Hyundai Santa Fe SEL at half the MSRP. The screens look gimmicky and have huge bezels that make it look terrible. Although at $225/mo and gas savings, it's almost free.

battery protection cover was scratched, the owner was told the battery needed to be replace for more than he paid for the car brand new. Over $60,000

$60,000 to replace battery. The battery costs more than a brand new car!

Sounds like another argument in favor of leasing an EV over buying

Those of us on leasehackr who have been working on this deal for awhile were wondering why the dealers got cold this week, then this thread was found. No wonder dealers started retracting low deals - they have hundreds of slickdealers calling them! haha.

Last month, the SEL could be had for $5999 one pay in California. The incentives and residual and money factor has not changed - only dealer willingness to discount has changed, which is a result of perceived demand.

There is a lot of inventory in route to dealers, so those of us looking for the best deals will wait it out a month or two until this wave of perceived demand wanes, and the good deals return.

The deal is $225/m + $225 down for the base model with no options (MSRP ~$49k). That is already $5,626. With 9% tax, that is $6,131 even without any fees. But dealers have ~$53k models, so I would say it is a good deal if under $7k all combined for $0-1,000 down and under $6k for one payment.
Got me a limited

Why they don't disclose dealer information? Tax component alone in Colorado Springs is 1665.. this deal seems not real
Go to Phil long over by Chapel Hills Emilio can get you into a limited. Tell him the guy who just bought a cyber gray with gray interior.
Limited is a better version for the money anyway. It's worth the extra 3k
They have one for 7349
It's got 39 miles on it

So, you would have to return after 2 years? What would be your OOD purchase price if you wanna proceed then?

its around 35k , i am not keeping it as the 2025-2026 will be significantly improved with a larger pack

I will be driving this beast on sport mode 90% of the time , i also live 5 miles away from a 350kw charger and will be free.
The hud is awsome , the ambient lighting, and pleather is amazing. 7k all in,is worth it over the SEL

coming from a civic type r with 20" rims, traded back in 2021 , the limited 20" rims are planted better for handling

all the SELs are pretty much sold out. If you live in colorado go to phil long

there is no good car out there now, compared to the model y

maybe in 2 years when prices come down more

model y needs to be updated like the model 3 . Hyundai taking care of federal and state with a 2k discount , along with 2 years free charging , is a great deal.

I will be using up ever mile 24k in two years traveling. We have another car for work commutes

Travelling on electric car is a bit riskier I would say unless you know exactly you are fully covered along the route (and in safe neighborhood) which may not be true for majority of the travel routes.

95% of the time you are driving within the city and going home.
Yes you should always plan your routes. I am ok with this , especially destroying most cars off the line with 0 rpm 500ft lb tq along with free charging.

People are reporting 300 miles of range if you know how to use regen and coast.
