$300 for the full size 7500 ( edit: '7500' not '750' ) w 7 years is considered slick. Recently they upped that to 10 years. ( edit: I mixed up the two models early in the morning. The 7500 is manual and the Pro 750 has presets. Very similar, both are full size machines NexGen G series. The 7500 has been on sale for $300 or less as threads here attest. Pro 750 has presets. Note that Vitamix changes motors pars suppliers and specs so old reviews posted on line may not be correct as to wattage and horsepower. Use the current specs posted on Vitamix for comparisons. end edit )
Others prefer the somewhat weaker and noisier full size 5200 merely because it comes with the tall narrow jar. However the 5200 is not a NexGen model which has superior manual controls, a better appearance and noise dampening construction.
Bottom line is $300 is slick if you get a full size ( non-Explorian ) blender, at least a 7 year warranty, a 64 oz container and 2.2 not 2.0 hp motor.
The tall 64 oz container is only better for select tasks and is actually a disadvantage for many others such as chopping and removing blended products. It comes with the 5200 which is an older "C' series model without the significant advancements found in the NexGen G series.
Personally the combination of less noise, less vibration and the ability to use new and old style containers even if the self detect feature isn't available make the ( edit '7500') NexGen bases are more important to me than automatic features with self detect technology. YMMV , automatic vs manual is a highly personal preference however experienced users often say that automatic operation ( timer ) is not important.
The date of manufacture appears on the bottom. ( edit My '7500' with a date code of Oct 2012 is much quieter than my 7500 produced in 2021 no doubt due to different motor suppliers. ) Clean Used 7500's are worth buying imo for under $100. Then buy a new genuine container for $150 or $100 on sale which will have a one year warranty. Aftermarket containers used low quality bearings and blades and should be avoided.
Note that container warranty is one year when purchased as an accessory. However, when purchased with the blender its warranty will be the same as that of the blender. The bearings and the seals in the container fail long before the motor base. If you blend regularly and hard then expect to need a new container within 3 years. With this considered a new 7500 with low profile 64 ounce, 7-10 yr warranty on all for $300 on sale can't be beat.
Aside from the warranty this deal is for a yellow blender. Can you deal with that on your counter for 5-10 years? Red White and Black are standard colors. QVC offered a host of special colors so this yellow is likely a QVC left-over .
Will pick between this or the Costco V1200 which does have the full warranty.
Btw, Costco also has the Vitamix Venturist Pro Blender on sale for $320.
