I bought this in a previous deal. just throwing this out there: it contains a water pump that aerates the water. there's no way to turn off the lights permanently but keep the water pump working (I know it's an edge case but I was trying to grow something that doesn't like too much light). it works well for the first month, but then it outgrows the system and the roots clog up the water pump motor, and the plant gets to be taller than the lights. initially, it looks like there's mold growing. don't be alarmed. that mold is actually good for the plants. just let it cook and sprouts should start coming out. overall, I don't think it's a tidy product over the long term and I do not recommend it.

I have one in the garage that was a gift, although it's a different brand than this one.

I love it to start seedlings to the point where I can put them in pots outside without the elements just trashing them. I've got a bunch of tomatoes that are ready to go in the ground this week, and a few clipping with rooting powder of different fruits I want to clone, just to see how they fare.

To be honest, if I didn't have this as a gift, I would get those little square rockwool seedling blocks and the accompanying tray and lid. It would do just fine outside here. When the panel dies, that's what I'm going to do.

These kits are limited as the roots of seedlings grow too much to actually have vigorously growing plants.

These are really cheap at good will. It's a novelty item. They work great but lots of effort and money to grow tomatoes you can buy at the store for 3 bucks
bingo... i bought one of the more expensive models of the herb growing kit. such a pain in the ass and stressful trying to use up all that basil while the dill and mint, the herbs I was actually interested in and use a lot of, produced barely anything at all. super disappoint

I got two of these with the Farm XL deal a couple of years ago and they were supposedly valued at $50 without the seedling trays. They actually work really well for starting seedlings. If you add the value of the starter seed tray, seeds, and nutrient this isn't a terrible deal IMHO.

This seems super small but I suppose it is ok for a few herbs to grow. I currently have 2 bounty machines loaded with 50 seed pods each and producing plants for growing in my garden. 4 days after planting they are already sprouting and growing. Highly recommend the seed starting system for growing plants to transplant!

That's good you are really doing well in your hobby and are resourceful. Do you have a friend who is happy to make drip coffee and shies away from espresso machines
A brand new account. Gee, I can't imagine why you would ever have to start a new burner account. It's a mystery.
I don't grow as a hobby, or food. Simply sharing what I know about those LEDs and the total cost of the unit. So other people can make a more informed choice about their needs and costs.
Slick dealers tend to make the best bang for buck purchases.

I'm in for one. I had a lot of Walmart credit card points that made it free. I'm going to use it for year round catnip for my cat.
