Not recommended for all beginners, as DSLR was so outdated. Get the mirrorless Refurbished EOS R100 at $299 instead, which is a direct upgrade of the Rebel T7. They have the exact same spec while the R100 is a lot lighter and it has the function to let you transfer images from the camera to pc.
No they all just disappeared off of the face of the planet because you forgot about them.
Thanks OP - repped. If you buy it with the Refurbished EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III there is another discount that took my total down to $288 before tax...

I had an issue with Canon refurb where the wrong item was sent. Then they claimed they didnt receive it when I sent it back. I had to have the rep look up the tracking number. I still haven't received refund and they keep sending me emails saying they havent received the item. I had to do a charge back. It's a logistics mess over at Canon Refurb
Got it for a bit more during the last canon refurb sale ($239.00). Came as new, no issues. Has 1 stuck pixel and 2 dead, through. Have not cleaned a sensor yet, maybe those 2 are just dirt, hope. Not a big deal, one can always average neighboring pixels, most recent cameras do it in firmware nowadays.
What I like about the cam, it takes good pics in GOOD light. When light is just iffy, noise is bad, even my latest phone is better. But, lenses are CHEAP for it, I already have assembled like 4 during the last month.
PS: The lens it comes with is considered kinda trash. So, not representative of what the camera can do based on your first shots with the lens that it comes with. You truly need new other lens to get the quality up.

I wouldn't call it trash, because getting as wide as 18mm on a lens is relatively expensive. Prices on wide angles have come down, but a single lens still costs more than this camera plus lens.
Also, it's got a stepper motor for video, so another advantage to the lens.

Has nothing to do with wide or otherwise angle. It is a soft lens.

I like that it is a mirror camera, I use viewfinder a lot. With https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X8MRBCW you can do fantastic portraits. With https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XP4Z2M7 you can zoom up.

I'm speaking from the perspective of someone that owns the mk1 version, which is actually not as good as the mk2.
Stopped down I doubt you'd see much difference in most shooting situations.
And the mk2 adds the stepper motor and Image Stabilization, which I forgot to mention the first time around
