Call the Canon Loyalty program number to get potentially 10% off your lens (refurbished included). I gave them the serial number for an older kit lens and it literally qualified me to get 10% off the RF 24-70 f/2.8.

Don't think R50 is just $150 more - Just bit the bullet at $979 on Amzn, which in my opinion is still worth it.
I don't think it's in stock anymore from the refurbished sale. It was $449 vs $299, so a $150 difference there. Well worth buying from Canon directly because it comes with the same exact warranty as a new machine.
Interesting that all of those RF lenses were in stock the day before the sale started but were out of stock the second the sale started. I have my doubts about them selling out instantly.

The refurbished lenses on sale sells out really fast. I saw RF 24-105 f4 and RF 35mm 1.8 stm in stock within few hours the sale started. I ordered both of the lens initially then cancelled 24-105 cause it felt like impulse buying and since the following day both of the lenses are out of stock
.
You can check out their website frequently though as there is chance that they have some stocks back to available at any time.

They do sell very fast. I got notified that the lens I wanted came back in stock yesterday. I ordered it and it was out of stock within a few hours. Use the notify me option on the product page if you really want one.
If you are considering the RF100 please consider this:
1. Does not have touch screen
2. Does not have articulated screen
3. 4K video will produce crop and not Dual Pixel AF

The R50 is back in stock. Here's a comparison between the R100 and R50: https://www.rtings.com/camera/too...shold=0.10
IMO, it's worth the extra money. Almost ordered one because a new one at Amazon with the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens Kit is $749.
That was quick. When I posted this it was in stock, now OOS.

I want to shoot some painting in A4 size, what kind of lens do I need? I tried with my kit lens 18-45mm, shot it from about 3 feet away from the target. And I couldn't zoom in enough to have the whole painting to fit the frame.
Not sure why it's not listed on the deal but the R50 with 18-45 kit lens refurb combo is also in sale for $449. I believe that's the lowest I've seen an R50 combo so far. R50 body trade in vale is $405 right now so I think this deal is pretty slick.
Just got mine this weekend, i'd strongly suggest anyone looking at the R100 to consider the extra $150 bucks to make the jump to the R50. I sold the kit lens for $75 and picked up a used rf-s 18-150, rf 16mm f2.8, and rf 50mm f1.8 to put together a nice little travel kit.
R50 adds touch screen, articulating screen, better evf, higher res screen, newer image processor, down sampled uncropped 4k video, fully featured AF and more. It's well worth the additional cost. Canons X50 class cameras are always top seller and thus retain their value for a long time too. Mk1 m50s still trade in for over 50% of their original MSRP.

Last time it was on sale it was about 250 bucks higher than this price. It has been lower before. But if you need it now it's not a bad price.
