Means it has a big brick on the charging cord.
I missed out on the Staples LG/Dock combo deal and all of these other ones seem to come up short by comparison
It has an external power brick. Its not a big deal other than being a little harder to cable manage

FYI: Best Buy also sells this monitor, but you'd have to price match.

Best Buy is also offering 10% off when you recycle a monitor. I don't know the intimate details on the recycling offer, but depending on circumstances, best buy might be beneficial

You get a $30 off coupon off your purchase (to offset the $30 fee), then get an additional 10% off.

So $224 before tax; for me the 10% is just negating sales tax; again you would have to price match in store

So everyone seems to prefer the IPS displays, I don't game, just web browsing, watching movies while web browsing and light coding. Would you choose this 160ghz VA or a 60ghz IPS for the same price?
I just take whichever has the best screen size, reselution, and refresh rate, and ignore the IPS or VA debate. Neither is worse or better than the other.

I'm never buying VA again due to ghosting/smearing in game.
No issues here with my Samsung G9. Might have just been your make/model screen.

Also, VA is just fine for general use or work.

If you're planning on gaming don't buy a VA. I regretted it and returned promptly

Sure, if you're willing to spend $1,200+ on a Samsung ultrawide then VA monitors are fine. Even then, at that price they are outclassed by the newer OLED panels. There's a reason Samsung switched to OLED for it's newest offerings.

At this price point VA gets a hard pass due to its slow black to gray response time. Unless you like black smear/ghosting in fast paced scenes, dark scenes, or reading text in dark mode

??? hmm i guess the 160 gigahertz display as that is the craziest refresh rate i have ever seen

so... VA tends to have better contrast (so blacks and stuff) but not as great view angles (although small screens i point at myself, large screens I don't really see a difference) ips tends to have easier text legibility, better view angles etc..

if you see something like a QD VA panel and you will watch quite a few movies on it id probably go with a VA panel, now IPS -- dell is a company in which their displays normally use IPS panels... DELL does do a very good job at making great looking IPS monitors (comparable) to VA panels in contrast in this price range

Went to BB but they don't have this model. They have the Ultrawide for 34" and 32" for UltraGear. So cannot do a price match.

Paid $325 year ago. It's okay monitor. Bad thing is it flicks or stutter because I have Nvidia card. It's really annoying when playing games. Also I don't know if there is anyway to tilt this monitor beside slide up and down. HDR not worth to turn it on. Good brightness though I think 325 or 400 not really sure you have to play around with the settings .

Why does IPS have better text legibility while VA has better contrast?
