Of note, $1199 is the discounted pre-release price, with free accessories. The v3, after release, is set to be $1500 for the machine alone. Still a better deal, but makes the decision a bit closer considering reliability and support. My anecdotal experience with a SP4 being great for 5 years, and the accidental warranty coverage for only $150 which covered Microsoft accessories (which I did use for a mouse) would lead me to lean toward a Surface device again, though I'm not up to date on reviews.
I have the original surfacebook and never bought another MS device since then because of the internal battery dying. Widespread issue. The device can't boot up without being plugged in, even though the keypad portion of the battery works.

Price seems good for that spec. I've never heard of this tablet/laptop device. How good is it compared to Surface

this is a sponsored video btw. doesn't matter that "blah blah blah all opinions are his own blah blah blah they didn't review video before he released it blahb lal blah" he got "paid" by receiving it so he can review it. the classic under the table "payment"
do ppl actually fall for that sht.. thinking it's not sponsored even when they clearly are sponsored

They are all sponsored even if they don't say because there always some product placement and interludes. You just have to take the info and digest is and figure it out if you like the take. Who wants to work for free and not make some money from ads and product placement.

The specs and stats are helpful.

Visual is always good.

Battery life section often wrong because it is depending on what you run on it.

You can infer performance from chip stats anyway but I think it is 600 nits now if I remember the screen so that's a very nice welcome change from the 400-450 whatever before.

Still not gonna buy it until I see very good ARM64 version with good app support cuz I want that extra battery life.

Although the original ARM64 SQ1 surface may be dirt cheap soon and if app support is better, it could be a good cheap in-the-car machine.

Had a surface pro, never again, will forever stay away from something that has a non replaceable battery, to replace it would cost you at least $150 to do so, scummy tactic by Microsoft.

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is a Surface Pro clone with 4060.
Yeah, no, not really. I have one, and love it. But it's much heavier and beefier than a Surface Pro, and yeah battery life is crap and heat can be an issue. You could say they are competitors sure, but beyond the form factors these are totally different use cases, IMHO.

It's irrelevant I prefer a screen without fingerprints all over it when I work. I owned both, the battery life and customer service are trash for Surface devices. They went from incredible walk in customer service to call centers to non existent online service only. So sad. And let's not pretend the touchscreen is always responsive as it should be on Surface devices if you don't hit the exact tiny spot on the screen you're supposed to. I get better touch response on my LG gram.

Do you happen to know if any of these Microsoft Surface Pro comes with an LTE chip/modem built-in? I want to connect a Surface Pro or any other tablet with an in-built 4G/5G BUILT IN to connect to the T-Mobile. Any tips would be appreciated.
If you go Surface LTE get the Surface Pro 8 business i5 model. It's has horrible battery life but the best option. The X and Surface pro 9 5G models are only good for using Microsoft office. You can find 8 LTE models on eBay occasionally.

It's irrelevant to you, but it's one of the most important features to the people that want tablet functionality. Wash your hands once in a while and you won't leave fingerprints.

I had a SP4 and I was affected by their defective battery. Something kept the tablet using battery and then shortly after warranty expired my battery would just die overnight while it was shut down. I think it would last an hour when I used it. I did love the device and used the pen all the time.

I'm glad that Surface Pro's exist, in the sense that they are driving other companies to come out with competitive products.

Even though this looks appealing, it feels hard to justify, seeing as things like the Minisforum V3 is set to launch at $1,199 and its specs simply crush this (8840U, 32GB RAM, 1TB, with all the accessories).
Fan vs Fanless. That matters for me and may be for a few others.
