That being said, I've tried a fair bit of other types and this type is the best option. The only other one i would consider is a phone holder propped up by the air vent.

I'll probably get downvoted for this, but sometimes I "watch" Podcasts and stuff like that on it where I really am not watching it very much, but I can look at the screen here and there when they are showing what they are talking about. I only picked this because the position doesn't trigger the tesla to turn off autopilot / fsd.
I've never had the phone or the unit itself fall off due to bumps or anything. It's snug, but not too snug.
Overall it does exactly what I expected it to do.
