If you turn off the fans it says it can get up to 89+'C from GPU usage which is like 192.2'F and that is not close to 325'F which is good for cookies, so maybe if its a long time it could but I didn't find a recipe for how long that would take. Good luck!

Got this the last round at $300 higher price, but cash back was higher at that time and had Chase 5% offer at dell.com, so it's awash in terms of pricing now and then with cash back and offers. Promptly upgraded it to a 4TB 990 pro and moved the 2TB it comes with (OEM 980 Pro) to the secondary port. Also upgraded to 64GB RAM. Been working very well. When not running graphics, machine is quiet. Only hear the GPU fan during game sessions. It seems very well built with all cables tucked nice and neat. I used to build everything myself but nowadays this is the way to go for me. I no longer enjoy tinkering around and debugging things when, after 2 hours of putting everything together and turning every screw yourself, you hit the power button and no beep sound or BIOS screen.

I bought the same desktop last month, same spec but with 32gb ram.
It runs quiet, just updated the Nvidia driver.

Happy with the purchase. Got the additional 10% off coupon and close to $100 from Wells Fargo.

Gave my wife my 2020 Alienware x16 laptop, that this replaced.

How long did it take to ship out? I ordered yesterday, but I'm worried my Amex offer will expire before it ships out.
Does shipping date matter, or does the posting date matter? Unless the fine print says shipping date, it'd be posting date.

Dell charges the card when the desktop ships out; I do have a "pending charge", for the full amount, on my card, but the charge will only post when Dell ships it out. That's my concern with the Amex offer. I did receive the confirmation email from Amex though.

Oh fair enough. Maybe look at the print to see if it matter on transaction date vs posting date. Best of luck!

Yeah. This is from the fine print: "Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 4/26/2024, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. "

I'll update here once I get confirmation, in case it will help others in the future.

You are right. Although you have indeed enrolled in the Amex DELL reward, DELL only charges the Amex card at the time of shipping. If the Amex statement shows the date as 5/2/2024(shipping date) instead of 4/23/2024(posting date), you won't be able to get the AMEX reward.
This depends on Amex's approach. If they honor the posting date of 4/23/2024, that would be a happy outcome. It looks like we are in the same boat ..

I was curious too so I reached out to AMEX and this is what they told me:

"For this, we based the transaction on the posting date. For example, if the offer ends on April 30. the charge should be posted before April 30. If Dell can post the charge before that date even though you haven't received the item then it should still be counted as eligible towards the offer."

I don't think it's possible for my customization because Dell is estimating earliest ship date of May 23rd. Good luck to you and anyone else trying to get this deal!

Mine shipped out today (label created yesterday), but I still don't see the final charge on my card, it's still "pending". In my Dell account it's listed as "scheduled". Per the terms, I think that the conditions for redeeming the offer have been met, but I'll have to wait to see the actual credit.

Nice! Hope you get it. Out of curiosity, when did you place the order?

I want to buy a desktop but I can't keep up with all the specs. This sounds look a good deal to me but I am worried that prices will drop even more. I am not in a hurry so should I wait or the prices are unlikely to drop further? I appreciate any help 😃

This will likely sellout at this price (it's on clearance). If there is a price drop, it won't be significant. The current spec is has high storage and the highest ram offered for this model. The next sale might be cheaper but it could also have different specs such as lower ram, storage, graphics card.

My purchase did not go through due to payment error. Telling me I have 24 hours to update payment or my order will be cancelled but the customer service department does not work over the weekends. What are the chances I still get the deal ?

It seems to be going in and out of stock, though most of the time it gets removed from cart during checkout. May be worthwhile to check back a few times a day
