Little bit of insight. Half inch has been the standard for the last 10 years. These racks are meant for Consumer use not commercial use. NSF is a restaurant rating 3/4 inch is for stacking 400 lb per Shelf

For a little more coin you can get a lot more in size and weight capacity. This one below goes on sale somewhat frequently in the $45 price range. Even at it's current price I'd buy it over the one listed in the deal above, it's spec'd at more than twice the weight capacity.

This shelving unit is awesome. I got it a few years back in silver for $10 less under the HyperTough name. Well worth it at the current price too. Everything has went up in price by $10 it seems so this $49 is a deal.

This shelf is not designed for use with casters, but that doesn't mean you can't custom fit some. I'd simply build a platform and mount whatever caster you want to it. Then build 4 pockets on the platform to lock in each leg of the shelves. And by the time you're done with all that you'll just wish you had spent more to buy a shelf that came with wheels. The only real benefit to building your own is the weight limit, you can build as heavy duty as you like.

You can put automotive dollies under each leg if you like. The sky is the limit when you build your own. All of that is just a really long way of saying that I don't know how much weight you need to hold or how often you need to move it around. But here is where I'd start my caster shopping journey if I were you:

3/8"-16 is thread size

I wouldn't worry too much of the girth. 1/2 inch is plenty. 59inch is ok length, but i would prefer a 72incher.
