I remember watching this movie when I was a 9th grader, back in early 90's. It was a disturbing movie. Even to this day, many of the points that the movie wish to make are still true and reminiscent of today's societal problems, especially in this country.
You mean you HAVEN'T seen The Game about 27 times? It's my favorite Michael Douglas film. Really enjoyed Wall Street as well.
Will definitely check it out though, thanks for the recommendation.
I'll second the recommendation for The Game, though I don't know if I'd agree that it's better than Falling Down. In my opinion, it's an apples-to-oranges comparison, but there is one thing they have in common: both are great movies.
This film, much like Starship Troopers, has a frightening number of fans that somehow not only miss the premise, but see it as a celebration of what it is critiquing. Legitimately frightening that in the US satire and satire adjacent media is so often taken at face value unless it's dumbed down to beat you over the head with a nudge and a wink.
Right, you're the only one intelligent enough to understand the film. Must be nice.
