You'll get 15% more 4K performance for 25% more money. You can read specific benchmarks to see if the 7900 XT is sufficient for the games/resolution you play.

Just got the 7900xt from Ebay for $650. Thinking about down grading to 7900GRE or 7800XT. This card is creating a lot of heat. I only play 1440p anyway.

i want to upgrade but my 1080TI does just fine... will upgrade when i get the 5080 TI Smilie 1/2 yrs if the card doesn't break.

1080ti was the last time a card like the 4090 came out. very solid card. are you able to play alan wake though?

my gtx 1080 struggled a lot with alan wake 2.

I was in low 30s on my 1080. Felt like I was totally obsolete. In retrospect Alan Wake is really just an outlier. Nothing is even close to being as demanding as AW. Even CP is very very playable on 1080.

but remember the 80TI it's a bit stronger, if you can try to hold until new cards are out I am waiting for the new RTX 5080 or AMD series we waited for so long why not wait a bit more?
