Looks like a solid straight-up deal, free shipping too! Nice post!
As an American, I wish we could dump SAE! But I guess good deals like this just let the odd ones keep piling up in the toolbox. In for one, and Thx OP!

Research 12 point sockets versus 6 point. Most people prefer the 6 point for the extra torque, especially on cars.
Most are buying this like me as a decent quality compact backup set for something not planned on to have on the go.

For things I am planning to do I use my Milwaukee tools.

Mine came today with visible fingerprints all over the sockets and handle. Also some kind of residue on some of the sockets.

Arrived today... kinda bummed.
Don't know if it's just me... but the 3/8" ratchet... none of the sockets fit on it:
  • The ball bearing that the socket has to go down past... is stuck in the out position.
  • And the button on the head of the ratchet is also frozen... looks like the two are related
And looks like I'm not the first person this has happend to... if you click on the single 1-star review for the item, looks like they had the same experience... five years ago? Guess I got "lucky?"

So... can't use that ratchet. Stanley is already closed for the day... going to try and call tomorrow to ask about getting it replaced.

Just got mine today - the quick release button lets that ball bearing depress and sockets won't go on or off without it. I would take a decent pair of pliers and put pressure on the ball bearing as you work the quick release, see if it frees up. Mine was stiff but loosened up after the first couple presses. It sounds silly but a couple big whacks against some concrete might free it up as well. Sorry you ended up with a lemon!

Not big enough for wheels, should be fine for oil changes. Max socket size is 18mm or 3/4in and lug nuts should be too tight to reasonably remove with a 3/8th wrench anyway.

Does anyone knows how the lifetime warranty works?

If ratchet is defective do I being it back to any HD or do I contact Stanley ?

I had a Craftsman ratchet and brought it to Sears and they swapped it but that was when they were still around me lol.

Thanks.

No zip tie on mine. Clearly I received a used or a return. Almost everything I've ordered recently from companies that ship from their store inventory, ends up being some kind of open box item.

Same for Amazon. I know some people use Amazon like a free tools rental program without any shame.
