The 91 different standard and deep sockets, along with the 10 combination wrenches and 24 bit sockets, will allow you to tackle any fastening or repair project. This Husky 270-piece tool set will provide the novice or professional with a huge assortment of durable and reliable tools to get the job done.
When you say box, do you mean the trays, or do these come with a separate tool box?
I realize now that my 270-piece set is a little different. It came in three trays or drawers that slid into a plastic box. There's a lot of wasted space. But this looks like just 3 compact trays.
I like how they show what appears to be a Holley Quadrajet carb on an Edelbrock manifold in one of the pics.
If you have either one of those items, you already have all the tools you need, lol.
However, this is an excellent starter set for the new home people. If you have a place to put them.
If not, wait for the set that includes the tool box.
I have this set. It is made to fit inside the Husky Connect toolbox (part of the rolling toolbox). It's good but if it ever tips over, plan on putting the entire set back together like a jigzaw puzzle.
Typical 50% Black Friday through New Year's deal like the last few years. Nothing special. NO case, just trays.
Now, if the Husky 290p ever comes on a big sale again, that's a good deal for this brand
Just what I was thinking. If you're patient usually the last few in the store end up as low as $50. Lowest I personally saw was $69.99 with 5 or so left yet. That was a few days after Xmas. The set was from Black Friday yet where I think it was $100? Someone else can verify if they want or remember. Still a solid deal and a step up from harbor freight on some stuff with a similar warranty process. My issue with HD warranty is it's a hassle if they don't stock it by itself or in a small set. I have a stripped 11/32 1/4 drive shallow socket I wanted to try to see how long and hard (😜) it would take to warranty. So far 3 different stores with none ever stocking. 2 said call corporate and 1 said they could order it then had trouble finding it and said call corporate lol. Haven't tried that yet but it's been about a month so far. Trying one more store then I'll call

I can confirm. This is a good set for average use. But the box is easily twice as big as it needs to be.
